Q1:   What is the purpose of the job analysis questionnaire?

A:    The job analysis questionnaire will help gather information from the employees at TSU to help us update job descriptions and make them more useful. It will also be used to assist in recommending any changes to the grading structure for all positions.

Q2:   How long do we have to 完整的 the questionnaire?

A:    The job analysis questionnaire will be distributed on April 26. 调查将持续三周.  然而, you should 完整的 your questionnaire within the first week in order to allow time for first- and second-level managers to review and provide comments.

A:    Both your supervisor and/or your second level manager will  review your questionnaire and provide their comments. 但是，它们不会更改您的条目. All questionnaires and their comments will be used by the PTG project team to develop job descriptions.

Q8: What if my supervisor does not agree with my input on the job description questionnaire?

The PTG project team will draft descriptions based on the questionnaire data and will manage a process to gain approval, which will occur at the Cabinet level with the support of their direct reports.  It is important that all job descriptions are considered by management to be sure that 职责 are clear, 完整的, 而且不与其他职位冲突. This process will assure that we have agreement at all levels about the job responsibilities.

Q9: What happens after all the questionnaires are 完整的d?

A:    All questionnaires will be analyzed and the data will be used to draft new job descriptions and assist in determining internal job relationships. The data will also serve as a tool to develop consistency in job titling across the university. The new descriptions will assure that the competitive analysis correctly matches TSU jobs with jobs in peer organizations.

Q10: Will I receive a raise because of this project?

Q11: When can I expect to hear back on the determination of my job description and salary grade?

The Committee shall exist as a formal body to serve as an advocate and voice for faculty and staff to ensure an equitable work environment for all employees, and shall work collaboratively with University administration to ensure that all concerns raised by the committee are addressed.
